Over the past four years, AMS has introduced and scaled the supply of Nettuno diesel pump sets across a range of agricultural applications. Initially brought in to support our own on-farm requirements, these units have since become a key part of our offering.
With increasing demand for reliable, high-capacity pumping particularly where electric supply is limited these units have proven to be a practical and dependable solution for irrigation and water transfer.
We began by importing a single unit to trial on-farm, allowing us to assess performance, reliability, and suitability for UK conditions. Following a successful first season, demand increased quickly.
Year 1: 1 unit supplied and installed
Year 2: 2 units supplied
Year 3: 8 units supplied (sold within a short pre-season window)
Year 4: 12 units supplied, with continued demand
To suit different applications, we now offer three primary models:
Model One – 60 m³/hr at 156m head
Model Two – 100 m³/hr at 140m head
Model Three – 108 m³/hr at 166m head
Each unit is built around a Caprari centrifugal pump and Iveco diesel engine, paired with an Elcos CIM-196 controller. This provides:
Consistent pressure control
Adjustable engine speed to match demand
Built-in protection and shutdown features
Remote monitoring via app and SMS
Across installations, these pumps have been used for:
Irrigation systems with long pipe runs
Reservoir and tank filling
Backup systems where electric supply is unreliable
High-volume water transfer
All units are selected and configured based on site requirements to ensure the correct balance of flow and pressure.
The continued uptake of Nettuno pumps reflects their reliability, simplicity, and suitability for agricultural use. What began as a single on-farm trial has developed into a core product line for AMS, supporting a wide range of applications.
