Farming has always grabbed my interest, and this trip was a real eye-opener. I went with Thomas Beach from Autonomous Agri Solutions and Bertie Phillips, a student at Harper Adams University. Together, we aimed to uncover the latest in farming.
First up, we visited Washington State University. They’re famous for their groundbreaking work in farming. They showed us an advanced irrigation system that mixes tech with eco-friendly ways. With my background, I could see how useful this could be for our projects at Agri Management Solutions.
Next, we popped over to Virgil Gamache Farms Inc. It’s one thing to chat about farming challenges, but seeing solutions in action is another. The team there is always adapting, ready for each season’s hurdles. It reminded me of the things we deal with at Agri Management Solutions.
Afterwards, we swung by Puterbaugh Farms. Here, we chatted about the changes in farming and new techniques. It’s clear that to stay ahead at Agri Management Solutions, we need to keep up with the times.
But the highlight was FIRA in Fresno, California. It’s a hot spot for farming robots. Watching robots in action and hearing from experts was amazing. This part of the trip made me even more keen to keep Agri Management Solutions on the cutting edge.
Looking back, the trip has made me even more excited about farming’s future. It’s not just about doing things the old way; it’s about evolving. And with friends like Thomas and Bertie, I’m hopeful for what’s next. A big shout out to the Douglas Bomford Trust for backing us and Charles Faram Farms LTD for having us in Yakima.
